Spread The Love at ASPDA: Fueling Athletes & Connecting With Dietitians

Spread The Love ASPDA Conference

We just wrapped up an incredible time at the annual ASPDA conference, and we’re still feeling all the energy, inspiration, and love from the event. ASPDA is the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association, and it brings together the talented professionals who help fuel some of your favorite athletes.

These are the dietitians working behind the scenes with collegiate teams, professional athletes, active individuals, and high-performance programs to make sure athletes have the nutrition they need to train hard, recover well, and feel their best.

As a brand built on simple, high-quality ingredients, we love connecting with people who care deeply about what goes into the body. Our nut butters are made to support busy lifestyles, active routines, and real food nourishment, which made ASPDA the perfect place for us to share what we do.

Why ASPDA Matters to Spread The Love

At Spread The Love, we believe great food should be simple, delicious, and nourishing. That belief lines up beautifully with the work of every dietitian who helps athletes build balanced eating habits and make smart fueling choices.

Sports dietitians are constantly looking for convenient, nutrient-dense foods that athletes will actually enjoy. Whether they’re building snack stations, recovery smoothies, travel kits, training table meals, or grab-and-go fueling options, they need products that are easy to use, made with quality ingredients, and versatile enough to fit into different routines.

That’s where Spread The Love comes in.

Our nut butters are smooth, drizzleable, and made with real ingredients. No unnecessary fillers. No palm oil. No overly complicated ingredient lists. Just delicious nut butters that work in everything from oatmeal and smoothies to toast, yogurt bowls, energy bites, and team fueling stations.

What Sports Teams Loved

One of the highlights of the conference was hearing directly from dietitians about what products stood out most to them. Two product formats sparked a lot of excitement: our single-serve packets and our 15-pound pails.

Our packets are a favorite for teams because they’re portable, portioned, and easy to distribute. Athletes can toss them in a backpack, locker, travel bag, or post-workout snack kit. They’re also great for away games, tournaments, early morning practices, and long travel days when convenient nutrition matters most.

We featured both almond butter packets and peanut butter packets, and they were a hit. For dietitians, the packets offer a practical way to provide athletes with a clean, satisfying source of plant-based protein and healthy fats without requiring refrigeration or extra prep.

The 15-pound pails also received a lot of love, especially from sports programs that serve large teams. Our almond butter and peanut butter pails are ideal for training tables, smoothie bars, cafeteria programs, and bulk food service needs. They make it easy for teams to incorporate quality nut butter into recipes and daily fueling menus at scale.

Whether a program needs individual portions or larger food service solutions, we loved showing dietitians how Spread The Love can fit into the everyday rhythm of sports nutrition.

A Sweet Start in New Orleans

This year’s ASPDA conference took place in New Orleans, a city known for its vibrant food, culture, music, and hospitality. It was the perfect backdrop for a conference centered around community and nourishment.

Before the official conference began, we kicked things off with a pre-conference workout event at Ergo Fit with Maria Sylvester Terry. It was such a fun way to bring movement, connection, and nutrition together before a busy few days of learning and networking.

The event featured a circuit training workout that got everyone moving and energized. After the workout, attendees enjoyed smoothies from Daily Beet made with Spread The Love Organic Peanut Butter. There’s nothing better than finishing a great workout with something delicious, nourishing, and satisfying.

The smoothies were a perfect example of how easy it is to use our peanut butter in everyday recipes. A spoonful of peanut butter can add creaminess, flavor, and nutrition to smoothies, making them a simple post-workout option for athletes and active individuals alike.

And because we love a good food city, we also put together a New Orleans guide for anyone looking to explore the city. From local eats to must-see spots, New Orleans gave us so much to enjoy outside the conference walls.

Connecting With Amazing Dietitians

One of the best parts of ASPDA was meeting so many incredible dietitians in person. We had thoughtful conversations about athlete fueling, food service needs, recipe development, travel nutrition, and the importance of products that are both functional and delicious.

We also loved hearing how dietitians are already using nut butters in creative ways. From smoothie bowls and overnight oats to energy bites, snack boxes, sauces, and recovery meals, nut butter continues to be one of the most versatile ingredients in sports nutrition.

Every dietitian we met brought a unique perspective, and we left the conference feeling inspired by their dedication to helping athletes thrive. Their work is so much more than meal plans. They are educators, advocates, problem-solvers, and trusted resources for the athletes they support.

At Spread The Love, we’re always looking for ways to make their jobs easier by offering products that are simple, delicious, and athlete-approved.

Easy Nutrition Inspiration From Dietitians

If ASPDA reminded us of anything, it’s that dietitians are full of practical, creative ideas for making nutrition approachable. That’s why we love collaborating with dietitians on easy, nutritious recipes that fit into real life.

Our dietitian recipe collaborations are designed to show how simple ingredients can become satisfying meals and snacks. Whether you’re an athlete, a parent, a busy professional, or someone who just wants to eat well, these recipes are made to be approachable and delicious.

Fueling Performance With Simple Ingredients

Sports nutrition is all about giving the body what it needs to perform, recover, and stay energized. For athletes, that often means finding foods that are convenient, nutrient-dense, and easy to incorporate into a routine.

Nut butter checks so many of those boxes. It pairs well with carbohydrates like bread, bananas, oats, smoothies, and crackers, making it a great addition to pre-workout snacks, post-workout meals, or everyday fueling options.

For dietitians working with athletes, having a dependable ingredient like peanut butter or almond butter can make menu planning easier. It’s flexible, familiar, and loved by many athletes.

Spread The Love takes that classic pantry staple and makes it even better with high-quality ingredients and an ultra-creamy texture. Our goal is to create products that dietitians can feel good about recommending and athletes can genuinely enjoy eating.

Thank You, ASPDA

We’re so grateful for our time at the ASPDA conference. From the pre-conference workout at Ergo Fit to the smoothies from Daily Beet, from meaningful conversations with dietitians to sharing our packets and 15-pound pails with sports nutrition professionals, the entire experience was unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, tried our nut butters, asked questions, shared ideas, and spread the love with us. We’re excited to keep building relationships with dietitians and sports teams across the country.

ASPDA reminded us why we do what we do: to nourish bodies, feed souls, and fuel healthy lifestyles with food that is simple, delicious, and made with love.

See you in Indy!
