Today, we’re celebrating one of those people in a big way: our Co-Founder and CEO, Zach. It’s his birthday, and we couldn’t think of a better time to highlight the man who helps turn vision into reality.
Zach’s story begins in Racine, Wisconsin, where he was born and raised. Growing up in the Midwest meant experiencing long, cold winters, but it also instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and work ethic that still carries through today.
After 18 winters, Zach was ready for a change. That change came in the form of an academic scholarship to the University of Miami, where he traded snow for sunshine and opened the door to new opportunities.
Although Zach and Val have built their life and business together in Los Angeles, his Wisconsin roots remain a core part of who he is, and his connection to his hometown continues to show up in meaningful ways.
Giving Back: The Spread The Love Forward Scholarship
Zach’s commitment to Racine goes beyond nostalgia; it’s about impact.
Through the Spread The Love Forward Scholarship program, Zach and Val give back to graduating students from Racine’s public high schools. Each year, $5,000 is awarded in scholarships to students to support their next chapter.
It’s a reflection of Zach’s belief that success isn’t just about what you build, it’s about who you uplift along the way.
The CEO Who Gets It Done
When Zach describes his role as CEO, he keeps it simple: executing Val’s vision.
But behind that simple statement is a massive responsibility. Zach is the one planning production, managing shipments, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. In a fast-growing business, that kind of execution is everything.
He’s deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, and his hands-on approach means nothing falls through the cracks. In fact, sometimes you may even get a personal call from Zach himself helping with your Spread The Love order.
More Than Business: Hobbies & Life Outside the Spread The Love Kitchen
While Zach plays a critical role in the business, there’s a whole other side to him outside of work.
He’s an avid tennis player, a huge music lover, and a fun fact: he’s actually really good at rapping. Creativity plays a big role in how he unwinds and expresses himself.
Zach is also fluent in Spanish and has a deep appreciation for culture. Whether he’s traveling or immersing himself in the communities he’s part of, he loves connecting with people, exploring different traditions, and learning from diverse perspectives.
But above all, Zach’s favorite role is being a girl dad. It’s something that brings him immense joy and purpose, and it’s a big part of why he works so hard every day.

A: I’d love to collaborate with Jeni’s Ice Cream to make a Chocolate PB Ice Cream.

Q: What is your favorite way to use Spread The Love products?
A: Breakfast smoothies. I give a very generous serving to the smoothies I make each morning. I also like to take dates and top it with our Peanut Butter and some dark chocolate chips.
