Things To Do in September
With the weather cooling down and the leaves changing, September is one of our favorite months to enjoy the outdoors and prepare for the busy season ahead (it’s the calm before the storm!). Here are some of our favorite activities to do all season long.
Farmer’s Markets
We first started selling Spread The Love products at the Melrose Place Farmer’s Market back in 2014! Farmer’s Markets are a perfect way to enjoy the weather and supporting our local community. We love buying all our fresh food for the week from local LA businesses. Some of our favorite Farmer’s Markets here in LA are Larchmont Village, Hollywood, Melrose Place, and Melrose Trading Post.
Apple Picking
September is the month to go apple picking! Two apple orchards close to LA are Willowbrook Apple Farm and Oak Glen Orchards. At Willowbrook Apple Farm you can pick your own apples to press your own apple cider and even make your own caramel apples. This is a fun family activity that everyone will be sure to enjoy!
Events
Need something fun to do in LA? Try the movies at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery every Saturday in September. Enjoy the beautiful weather by watching all your favorite classics under the stars, find tickets here. The Hollywood Bowl has so many great performers for the month of September and with the weather so nice, this is the perfect time to go. Check out their schedule here, and see some great artists perform.

How to Make your House Smell Like Fall
We LOVE fall scents which is why we wanted to share this amazing recipe to make your whole house smell amazing! Simply throw all the ingredients into a pot and let simmer for the perfect fall smell.
- 4-6 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Orange rind
- 2 tbsp whole cloves
- 3-5 bay leaves
- Fill a pot with water and simmer!
