Pretty in Peanut Butter Smoothie

This easy smoothie recipe offers the perfect opportunity to encourage healthy eating at the family breakfast table. With veggies like celery, spinach, and cauliflower hidden beneath the sweetness of apples, bananas, and strawberries, this smoothie is the perfect way to sneak in some extra nutrition into your kiddo’s meal! Plus, a healthy dose of our creamy peanut butter will certainly help the medicine go downThis will be the perfect breakfast smoothie to give you and your kids the energy and nutrients needed for a busy day! 

Ingredients

  • 1 large apple, cored
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into 3-inch long pieces
  • 1 small handful spinach*
  • 1 cup steamed then frozen cauliflower
  • 1 banana, cut into 2-inch pieces and frozen
  • 6 strawberries, green tops removed
  • 2 tbsp Spread The Love® NAKED Organic Peanut Butter
  • 8 oz unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • *We usually keep the spinach to a small handful, because our kids don’t like it when the smoothie turns green, but if you don’t mind a greenish hue, feel free to add more!
  • Optional Toppings
  • Your favorite granola
  • Sliced fruit for decoration

Method

  • Step 1 -
    Combine all smoothie ingredients in a high-powered blender, and blend for 1-2 minutes on high until smooth and creamy (or, if you’re using a Vitamix, use the “smoothie” setting).
  • Step 2 -
    Decant into glasses and top with granola, sliced fruit, and a drizzle of peanut butter.
