Black Owned Business Spotlight

A photo collage of our favorite black-owned businesses.

This month we wanted highlight some of our favorite black-owned businesses. Being a minority owned brand, we understand the importance of uplifting and supporting members of our community. In honor of Black History Month, we listed a few of our favorite black-owned businesses:

Partake offers a selection of delicious, allergy-friendly foods that those with and without food restrictions can enjoy and share with confidence. Founder, Denise Woodard, created Partake after her daughter was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. Denise is passionate about raising awareness for Black and female entrepreneurs and increasing opportunities in the food and beverage industry for underrepresented people.

Moon Shot focuses on snacks that are not only delicious but climate-friendly. Founder Julia Collins wanted to create something that would make the world better for her children. Through Moon Shot she created Planet FWD which focuses on helping other food companies create climate-friendly products.

Bloom & Plume is #yourfavoriteneighborhoodcoffeeshop right here in LA. This black family-owned business serves beauty that uplifts people through aesthetics. Co-Owner and Founder, Maurice Harris, designed every detail in this space to ensure an unforgettable experience through delicious food & coffee.

Estelle Colored Glasses specializes in hand-blown, and specialty-made colored glass cake stands and stemware in a mix of jewel tones and soft pastels. Stephanie Summerson Hall was inspired by her grandmother, Estelle, who loved antiquing and finding special treasures.

Melissa Koby is a Jamaican-born, Tampa-based illustrator whose work addresses themes of social justice. Her work also always celebrates people of color and the peace and tranquility that comes from beautiful landscapes. We had the amazing opportunity to work with Melissa on our Diversity & Inclusion Artist Series.

Pipcorn is a women, minority, and family owned business that offers a variety of delectable gluten-free snacks made with heirloom corn. Founded in 2012, Jeff & his sister Jen discovered a bag of heirloom popcorn while moving a felt that is was delicious not to recreate. Now Pipcorn offers a variety of snacks like mini popcorn, cheese balls, crunchies, and corn dippers.

Please take your time to check out these amazing brands and learn more about their founder stories. Keep spreading the love!
